Today’s three A to Z tunes titles are from the letter XXX

XANADU ~ Olivia Newton - John https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RC6GoTHX9OU
The late 1970s was very much Miss Johns years. Apart from this big hit in the early 1980s. Born in Cambridgeshire in the UK, but in her early childhood years moved to Australia, with her family. She had become very Poplar in the UK, and had many hits in pop and easy listening country music. 1974 she was the UK’s hope for the Euro vision song contest. In the late 1970s she had a became one of the most poplar girl pop singers, and was offer seen with Sir Cliff Richard. But during 1978, she could done noting wrong, appearing in the film Grease, along with John Travolta, and the million seller ' Your the one, that I want’ from Grease. In latter years sadly in the mid 1990s she was told she had ‘cancer’. Which slowed down her singing, but thanks to recoving, as best as you do with cancer, was able to cont’ singing.

XOXOXO ~ Black Eyed Peas https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TW__gFpKR1E
Must be truthful, I have heard of this ‘soul group’ If it is soul. Its still part of todays new music, clearly it made for dancing and ‘making love’ dare we say. As pop goes its fresh new music, and many broadcaster would say. The group are well known, maybe not so much with Big L 1 listeners, but its pop, and listenable.

XSCAPE ~ Michael Jackson https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4G6j4oe8g70
June 2009 was indeed a very sad lost to hit disco dance music. Wacko Jacko etc and other names was pinned to this ‘Peter Pan’ boy. But since Michael Jackson and the family Jacksons started in the early 70‘s the was something special in the way they made music, hit happy dance music, and not just for teens. I would guest the best years for Michael Jackson, was in the mid 1970s, when still performing as the Jackson Five, but dropping the ‘five’ to become just ‘The Jacksons’. For myself think the turning point in the his music was the release of ‘Show Me The Way To Go’ around mid 1975, and again re - leased in the mid 1980s. For what I hearing Xscape is Michaels latest album , offering much the same, winning sound.
