Today’s three A to Z tunes titles are from the letter NNN

NEW YORK, NEW YORK ~ Frank Sinatra https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6YjIsUc4Ank
For years he was known as the chairman of the board, and rightly, along with those other well known Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr and a close friend Bing Cosby. Mr Sinatras history goes way back to the mid 1940s as a young singer in the many various dance bands around at the time. New York, New York was one of his last very popular ‘hits’ . Its always up there in the best party and great show events. Frank Sinatra’s history covers so many great music standards, the is really not endless, but a list of great sing a long and mood music tracks. When the world lost him a few years ago, his name a be around for many years too come, in great music ...hope so anyway!

NEVER ENDING SONG OF LOVE ~ New Seekers https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ChopL-5R9fo
During the mid 1960s a ‘easy listening’ pop group from Australia was making great pop hits, almost everywhere during the 1960s. They was known as, The Seekers, trio of three well dressed country into pop..........but appealing to a big following for a while. Then like me groups of the day would sort of drop out of the means of making hit music, in most never to be heard of again. Until the early 1970s, and then something new in music appeared.....The New Seekers, was they new was being asked. Yes the answer was true, but with a little still of the ‘old’ Seekers. Never Ending Song Of Love, was mass big hit in the many country’s. But was they a rebirth, maybe!

NEIGHBOURS ~ Barry Crockers https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=62sJA5mZQwM
N for Neighbours, good friends become..........Barry Crockers was asked at the time in 1985 by Channel 7 in Australia to write a tune for a Daily ‘soap’ which aired every evening at 6.30pm. The tune became quite a hit, well a small hit in Australia , about six months later when in the UK the BBC was looking for a daily soap....this was it, and the catchy tune court on......but was almost axed due to poor teatime rating, and 7 played to drop it, and from my bud in Sydney told me Channel 10 was buying it.....may a few changes, and within weeks a hit, Barrys tune still rolls every evening at 6.30 and 5.30 on Channel 5 in the UK

CHECK OUT THREE MORE TUNES NEXT MONDAY FROM THE LETTER “O” FROM 10AM UK
