Today’s three A to Z tunes titles are from the letter LLL

LIVING DOLL ~ Cliff Richard & the Drifters https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uHQXL8wPsCE
The teen hero that never grew up, Sir Cliff was listed as, has he yet! For me Cliff was around when I first started to hear tunes I liked. Cliff was every teen’s hero in those very early 1960s. Living Doll I guess was the start of this young guy, playing in a ‘pop group’ but what did become of those ‘Drifters’ did they become the Shadows.....or Drifter in the hit pop group, of the same name. Living Doll, from the lad that never grew older, and still today performing in much the same theme as was in those late 1950s. Sir Cliff is still a young one, for many!

LOVE IS A MANY SPLENDORED THING ~ Nat King Cole https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uHQXL8wPsCE
Guess this guy was and still is every mums fave (well suppose my age group) . With good reason. The guy was a big part of the 1950s ‘hit music’, and into the early 1960s. Was looking a while again at the 10inch Capitol 78rpm record of this, tons of memories of those easy break or by miss sake’s seating on the fave chair. Used to be a rule, never put a gramophone record on a fave house chair.......wonder why!

LOVE HURTS ~ Nazareth https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6pHNkOQCIzk
The is a few versions of this tune, that became a big hit in the mid 1970s, the main man I can think had this hit was Billy Ocean around 1974. Its been done by many singers and bands. One such version by the 70‘s rock band Nazareth. Its a more Rocky version, but lads in the band really performed the ‘hit’ well on BBC television’s Top Of The Pops in 1976. I think it was performed in the days they wasn’t suppose to mime....... good 1970s track.
