Today’s three A to Z tunes titles are from the letter G

GLOOM SUNDAY ~ Noemi Muti https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sVkXl4orc5k
One of those jazz classic female singers of war and post war years in the early 1940s was that of Miss Billie Hoilday. Like many of you I guess her name is known, just that and like many of us, not a lot more. Well said in a nice way, we are not goina hear a lot more of her............but one of her classicals done by a present day Jazz singer , Noemi Nuti. Which was recorded a few months ago, and during May and June is on tour in the UK.

GOINA GET ALONG WITHOUT YA NOW! ~ Voila Willis https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_JALXA3NgsU
One of those early 1980s tracks that just got you moving your around to this hit. Got a feeling this female singer had a lotta hits during the 1970s, but this hit is her most known hit, a wow it was a his everywhere. It was well in line with moods of dance music of the time, and got ya moving......

GOOD MORNING STARSHINE ~ Oliver https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=whmzEXywq40
From what was at the time a ‘hip’ musical that became big big box office hit, Hair. tracking the new wave of ‘cool’ hip people jigging to the peace love and music of the coming 1970s, the starting of the open air 3 day music festivals, drawing 1,000s music fans kinda grow up from the teens swinging 1960s. Good Morning StarShine, connected to the hip music around, which because a mass hit for newcomer ‘pop’ lad Oliver! in 1969.
