I believe he was in Amsterdam during Radio Day, I remember him playing part of the documentary.

Hi folks
There was a reunion in Liverpool yesterday for those involved with the Caroline North RSL - it was held at the Pumphouse pub on the Albert Dock in clear line of sight of the Planet lightship!
After lunch John Dwyer gave a pep talk on what was felt to have gone well with the RSL and what could have gone better.
It was good to have a catch up with Richard Bond and the other jocks and behind the scenes staff.
I was trying to persuade Bondie that Frinton isn't quite so far away as he thinks

Great idea to have a reunion. Interesting to see Bondy was also involved. I didn't know that.

Hi Folks

As you may have read on Garry Stevens forum, it is with great sadness that I hear Phil Sayer is facing a losing battle against cancer.
As a kid I used to listen to him on Manchester's Piccadilly Radio, others will remember him from Voice of Peace and his stint as a newsreader for BBC TV North West.
Various Rail companies have used his unique vocals for station announcements up and down the country, including at London Waterloo.
It was a pleasure to hear him on Caroline North RSL and the thoughts of the Merseyside free radio community are with him and his family.

Hi Alec

Phil wasn't involved in the land based scene, certainly not in Merseyside - I actually hadn't realised he'd done VOP until John Dwyer told me a couple of years ago.
