I just got confirmation they're running at 2kW. This is the maximum they are allowed inside Harlingen Harbour to my surprise. We'll have to wait for JB to set sail before we'll get 10kW

That counts out any UK audience for 1395 until the Jenny B is at sea then?

I'm quite surprised by the reception I have been getting in Notts/Derby areas- not as bad as I would think for 2Kw.

Can't help thinking- if only it would get towed a bit closer to UK shores.

Even if it was nearer-don't think I'd be listening long myself!

Radio Seagull's shortwave broadcasts on 6150khz are for the moment on hold, and the first test results subject to analysis. We expect to recommence on shortwave sometime during next week.

Is the signal stronger than before John? I read on various fora remarks to that effect.

It's similar to the 1395 tests earlier in the year - maybe they're using a different Optimod as it seems more punchy than before.
There were some long fades last night but I'd be disappointed if there weren't
If you recall during the last day or so of the tests they turned the power right up towards the max.
Well, yesterday wasn't as good as that, but the glass seems half full right now!
The signal was holding up quite well here near Manchester this morning 'til around 0800.
But nothing noted prior to 1900 today - hopefully back on at 2200.

I am not really into the music. They have a very niche audience, though good they can hear it on AM

I don't like progressive rock. Said in earlier post. Though sales of Kleenex on the up for some eh? Like to see Andy Sennit get a free reign though!

as John Newman told me this morning its from Harlingen Harbour with reduced power - so it must be 1 or 2 KWs only
