Only coming through at about 50% on the Big Radio occasionally pushing 60%. Big L used to do about the same. I am surprised, I thought they'd have been pushing more than that. I wonder what the TX power is. Oops! Off topic!

Nice and clear with a steady signal and no fading though.

I believe Peter Moore had plans to remove the two radio masts in favor of one big one like the RR had in the beginning. Does anyone know if this has been done?

I'm not sure if the work has been done yet, though I should imagine that if it hasn't it won't be long until it is done as, I believe, the need to move the masts was a requirement of the MCA so the opportunity to return to one large mast was favoured.

Achim's answer:

Hi Alexander,

Achim

That'll be something like this then!:

" 'll make me smart, what's the status, Alan Beech as head of the restoration crew, it would most accurately know, I was unfortunately since last summer, not on the horse! Hint
At least I can confirm that one of the masts was welded on a "safety exit, and for the release of a (any kind) seaworthiness should be re-paved, but above all the poles must be down because of high corrosion, which is now the lower sections, the anchor on the deck and securing ropes concern, thus the stability no longer exists and therefore the decision to return to a central mast!
Once Alan replied, I'll let you know!"

I was right then, it was a safety thing. The MCA (NOT the part that I belong to, I hasten to add!) have picked up on one or two things of concern to them.

This is Achim Woellgens' 2nd answer: - not a real claryfication
seems that they keep it secrete and don't want to talk about it too much

Daraus kann man nun lesen, was man will.....
Gruß
Achim

google translation:
wow, that was fast, but both of us will not satisfy all, LOL
So Alan has diplomatically expressed as the planning and work to make good progress but is not known (will not be published) until a final outcome of final status.
It can read now, what you want .....
Greetings
Achim
