Yesterday's Caroline

Postby #6 » Thu Jul 29, 2010 9:25 am

If you are ever looking for some Real nostalgia (Real People, Real Music and all that!) try this link
http://yesterdaysradio.atspace.com/Player.htm

It has a continuous stream of original offshore recordings, mostly Caroline, over the years, full programmes as they went out on 319/963 or 558.

I use this to fill the gaps in my other listening choices (never instead of presented BigL shows, of course  )

I'm currently listening to Simon Barret in 1983.

Night time Caroline on 319 at that time was more like the 70's (and todays) type of Caroline though.

Does anybody know where Dixie Peach is nowadays?

I remember after Caroline he had a Saturday evening show on Radio One.
He also made some appearances on Top of the Pops and I thought he came over well on TV.
Then he disappeared.
I think, therefore I am............ I think.

For Coastie, Steve B, RNS and any other Caroline fans, check out the new programmes on.. http://yesterdaysradiouk.atspace.com/Player3.htm ...

Johnny Walker from 1968, Keith Skues from 1964 coming later.

JW sounds the same as he does now. I'm 19 again :D :D :D

Thankyou, #6 but I was never a Johnny Walker listener. I listened to Radio Caroline North. I only used to occasionally retune to 259 (when Caroline North was on 199) and hear him and Rick Dane.

There are some Caroline North on there as well at the moment. Jim Murphy, Jack Spector and Jerry Leighton round to the IOM.
