I believe it was in Monitor. Will have to have a look.

Thanks Dennis, At one time i used to subscribe to several mags but over the years and a couple of house moves i have misplaced some of them,

I believe that cartoon shows the small boat loaded up with crates of booze.

I bet it was loaded with crates of Johnny Lewis's infamous GBH beer. Apparently he brewed it in the transmitter room, and very strong it was too I believe!

....which brings us to another cartoon which shows the Ross with a
pub sign saying Ye olde Ross Revenge - GBH Ales :)

The cartoons in Monitor were classic!

THIS is the one I've been looking for!!

The MV Communicator being escorted to Harwich, by Guardline Tracker, from the same fleet as Communicator. It originally having been the Guardline Seeker I belive.

Again super pix from The Barnacle and good memories of a great station with, at its best, a thumping good signal. The photo of the Sea Wolf displays a genius at work; could we have him for a one night a week fever pitch in London Calling?

Yes also it was great to see the pix on the all europe radio link, think that's the first time viewing of Dave (have a pen........... and paper ready for the address........coming up) Chaney - another class broadcaster. A great privilege it surely was to be there at the taking of that group photo of both station staffers, hastily organised on the spur of the moment by Johnny Lewis a few days prior to Euroseige

Then all you had to do was ask! I've had that piccy for a while.

Here is the Gardline Seeker being escorted in by the Gardline Tracker who, being a Sister Ship, was instrumental in supplying essential parts to the Communicator after they had been removed by the "Authorities" following the Tracker having been scrapped.

Quote Wikki "Since 2010, he has appeared every Sunday night on BBC Radio 5 Live's Nolan show, with Stephen Nolan and Bishop Stephen Lowe.

He is a regular guest on the News panel on LBC with former talkSPORT presenter Ian Collins"

I've just noticed that the Seeker and the Tracker are not identical Sister Ships in that, apart from anything else, the wheel house is different, it looks to have been higher up on the Seeker and has more windows than the Tracker had.

Shame to see her like this Image
